Enviable friendship (parable)

The Greek parable

In Sirakuzah was two friends: Damon and Finty. Дамон wished to kill Dionisija, but has been seized and condemned on execution.

— Allow me to leave till the evening and to arrange the house affairs, — Damon Dionisiju has told, — Finty remains the hostage for me.
Dionsy has burst out laughing over such naive dodge and has agreed. Evening has approached, Fintija already conducted on execution. And here, having squeezed way through a crowd, Damon has appeared in time.

— I here, forgive that has tarried.

Dionsy has exclaimed:

— You are forgiven! And me, I ask, accept the third in your friendship.
